Monday, Jan. 13-Friday, Jan. 17 is Art Beat Week at the library — five days of artistic expression highlighting a different art form each day including drama, dance, written and spoken word, visual arts, and music.

Take a step back in time + jog your memory in this sensory exploration workshop aimed at elevating your ordinary lived experience.
Tuesday, Jan. 14
Theatre Dance & Drama for Adults | 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Enjoy a performance from Lexington Theatre Company’s Theatre Dance Performance Group, and then get on your feet + bust a move. The dance lesson will be followed by a theatre and acting workshop.

If you missed your waste collection day to Winter Storm Blair, bring your non-hazardous waste to the city’s free trash disposal event tomorrow, Jan. 11, 6 a.m.-12 p.m. Bagged household waste, mattresses, and small furniture will be accepted. Check for a weather-related cancellation.

Applications are open for the Partners for Youth Grassroots Grant Allocations Program. Funding opportunities range from $750-$3,000 + will be awarded to organizations that provide hands-on opportunities for under-served, at-risk youth. The deadline to apply is next Friday, Jan. 17.
