Early September is the perfect time to get a taste of October, Oktoberfest beers that is.
We’ve seen almost every brewery in Lexington release a seasonal version of this German-style lager. We’ve sampled a few, but still have a few more to go.
Here are a few seasonal beverages to be on the lookout for the next time you’re at the pub:
- West Sixth “Oktoberfest” | 5.5% ABV | Easy drinking, malt-focused — notes of biscuits + toast
- Country Boy “Oktoberfest” | 5.5% ABV | Full bodied, a bright amber orange color — notes of sweet bread
- Mirror Twin “Wade Boggs” | 6% ABV | Light, easy drinking — notes of caramel and toast
- Ethereal Brewing “Basic” | 6% ABV | A pumpkin spice amber ale — notes of vanilla
- Blue Stallion “Oktoberfest” | 5.4% ABV | Crisp, traditional, malt-forward with just a hint of hop
Did we miss one that you love? Let us know. We’re thirsty for fall.
