What was once a house in a “state of severe disrepair” has a new life, with a new family, and a feature in Southern Living Magazine , to boot.
The print issue hit stands last week and features the 1907 Kenwick home in the article, “See how a young couple this century-old home into a family home .”
It shares the story of Hannah and Corey Maple, who bought the home in March of 2020 + have restored the once neglected space over the past three years, paying homage to its history throughout.
In the article Hannah recalled, “We bought a money pit right as the world was shutting down due to COVID-19. We drove over here, poured a little bourbon for liquid courage, and checked out our home for the first time.”
