After receiving a less than favorable ranking on the “Best College Towns & Cities” list, we want to know your thoughts on why we should be No. 1.

WalletHub released its list of Best College Towns & Cities in America and to our surprise, Lexington didn’t make the top 10. As a matter of fact, we didn’t make the top 100 — the Horse Capital of the World landed at No. 125.

The personal finance site compared 415 cities using four factors to determine the list:

  • Wallet friendliness: Includes housing costs, average fitness club cost, and price of tuition.
  • Social environment: Includes shopping centers, food trucks, cafes, breweries, and festivals.
  • Academic opportunities: Includes learning potential of graduates + quality of higher education.
  • Economic opportunities: Includes unemployment rate, job growth rate, and share of part-time jobs.

Call us biased, but if you ask us, we’re No. 1 on social environment alone. Now, before anyone goes and burns some couches, let out your frustrations + share your thoughts on why we’re really No. 1 in our survey.
