In case you missed it, city officials recently cut the ribbon on a new building at Ecton Park. The addition features a covered concession stand + new restrooms.

Ecton Park is one of the busier parks in Lexington thanks to its proximity to town. It boasts four tennis courts, baseball fields used by Eastern Little League, playground equipment, lots of green space, and is one of the homes for the free fan-favorite Big Band & Jazz concert series. We’ll keep you updated when they announce the 2023 schedule.

Money for the project came from the $10 million in ARPA funds that have been allocated to Parks & Recreation’s Master Plan.

This is just the latest announcement to come from Parks & Rec, who also recently unveiled plans for Cardinal Run Park North + outdoor climbing boulders at Northeastern Park.
