Every time we look around, it seems like something new is popping up in Lexington. Whether you’re looking for your next go-to brunch destination or a new public park to stretch your legs, we’re rounding up a few things coming soon to the Horse Capital of the World this quarter.

Bluegrass Distilling, 158 Leestown Rd., Midway | Fall 2023 | An $8-million craft bourbon distillery with a gift shop + tasting rooms.

CannaBuzz, 938 Manchester St. | Spring 2023 | Hemp-derived THC goodies with plans for more “cannabis-infused experiences”.


Baptist Health Hamburg, TBD | 2024 | Outpatient services for a number of health concerns including emergency care, cancer, cardiology + more.


Desperado’s, 1224 Manchester St., Ste. 110 | Summer 2023 | Scratch-made tacos, high-end tequilas + mezcals.

Slim Chickens, 525 Waller Ave. | Spring 2023 | Dine-in and drive-thru service for chicken tender meals, salads, sides, and desserts.

7 Brew, 4265 Harrodsburg Rd. | Spring 2023 | Drive-thru coffee chain serving up lattes, smoothies, and energy drinks .

TukTuk Snack Shop, 124 Malabu Dr., Ste 110 | Summer 2023 | Southern-Sri Lankan fusion plates from James Beard award-nominated chef Sam Fore.

Jack in the Box, TBD | 2024 | West Coast fast-food that’s your one-stop shop for burgers, popcorn chicken, and egg rolls + it’s open late night.


Polo Club Middle School, 2185 Polo Club Blvd. | Fall 2025 | A new 171,893 sqft, $82.7 million middle school will serve the Hamburg area.

Town Branch Park, High Street | 2024 | A 9+ acre world-class community gathering space with a dog park and amphitheater.

Cardinal Run North Park, Parkers Mill Road | 2025 | A 137-acre park with three miles of nature trails, a playground, various sports fields + a dog park.

Splash!, 540 E. Third St. | Spring 2023 | A water play zone that will also incorporate history lessons in the East End neighborhood.
